Our Mission

The Garrison Mill Education Foundation (GMEF) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to enriching the academic experience for all students at Garrison Mill Elementary. Our mission is to inspire curiosity, creativity, and a lifelong love of learning by supporting programs that bring education to life beyond the traditional classroom.

With a strong focus on STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics), we aim to provide hands-on, engaging opportunities that empower students to think critically, collaborate effectively, and explore innovative solutions to real-world challenges.

GMEF raises funds to support STEAM-focused instruction, curriculum-aligned technology enhancements, and salaries for staff and specialists who make these experiences possible. From robotics and coding to gardening and the arts, our initiatives are designed to foster a well-rounded, future-ready education for every child.
