Raise Craze Fundraiser Success

We kicked off the new year with Raise Craze, spreading warmth through kindness—and we are so grateful for the incredible support from our GME community. It was inspiring to see our students sharing kindness at school, at home, and throughout the community.

Through Raise Craze, our students logged an amazing 1,521 acts of kindness and raised $26,634. While we didn’t quite reach our goal, every act and every dollar truly matters.

Week of Service

Our Week of Service was a powerful reminder that even the smallest acts of kindness can make a big impact. Throughout the week, students participated in hands-on service activities designed to spread warmth within our school and beyond.

Each day focused on a different way to give back:

• Students created colorful thank-you posters for GME staff members who support our school every day.

• Classes wrote heartfelt letters and cards to senior citizens, sharing messages of encouragement and appreciation.

• Students expressed gratitude for their teachers through thoughtful notes and classroom surprises.

• Kindness snowflakes were shared among classmates, reminding one another that simple words can brighten someone’s day.

The hallways were filled with creativity, gratitude, and joy.

This week was more than just activities—it was a meaningful opportunity for students to practice empathy, gratitude, and service in real and lasting ways.

Coat Drive Impact

As part of our Week of Service, our community also came together for an incredible coat drive effort. Thanks to your generosity, we collected over 350 coats and winter items to support families in need.

Greyhound Night: A Winter Wonderland Celebration

Greyhound Night was a magical evening filled with fun, laughter, and community spirit as we celebrated the success of this year’s fundraiser. Thanks to our incredible families and business sponsors, we continue to support STEAM programs, classroom enrichment, field trips, teacher support, and school-wide experiences for our students.

This year’s winter theme, “Spreading Warmth Through Kindness,” truly came to life as families gathered for an unforgettable Winter Wonderland celebration.

A Night Full of Winter Magic

The excitement of the evening centered around the Snow Globe Grab + Grand Prize. Our winning class, Mrs. James’ 2nd grade, earned the honor of stepping inside the snow globe to grab the lucky snowflake that determined the grand prize winner. It was a crowd favorite and a moment students won’t soon forget!

Families captured memories at the snow globe photo station and two lively photo booths provided by Club Rett. With a DJ keeping the energy high and festive snowflake lighting glowing across the walls and ceiling, the entire space truly felt like a winter wonderland.

Seasonal Treats & Sweet Moments

To truly bring the magic of our Winter Wonderland to life, guests enjoyed festive treats throughout the evening. Families were able to purchase glowing, light-up cotton candy and warm hot chocolate to pair with our hot chocolate bar—complete with marshmallows, candy canes, and whipped cream. These cozy favorites added a special (and delicious!) touch to the celebration.

We also featured an indoor S’mores station, where families could create their own treats to enjoy on the spot or take home. It quickly became a crowd favorite and added to the warm, wintry atmosphere of the night.

Raffles, Sponsors & Community Fun

Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors, families had the chance to win a variety of raffle baskets and prizes throughout the evening. Several sponsors also joined us in person, bringing interactive games and fun giveaways to share with our community. Their presence added even more energy and excitement to an already magical night.

Greyhound Night truly felt like a winter celebration filled with sweetness, laughter, and community connection.
