Giving Tuesday helps Garrison Mill Education Foundation fund teacher training
When regulations prevented principal Ruth Martin from spending funds on teacher development earlier this year, she turned to the Garrison Mill Education Foundation for help.
GMEF responded with more than $3,000 to pay for teachers and paraprofessionals training in Reading is Essential for All People (REAP) to learn the science of reading.
Well-trained teachers create the best learning environment for our students, especially as they learn to see the world through science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics - or STEAM, which is the primary mission of the Garrison Mill Education Foundation.
When you contribute during #GivingTuesday, your donations help us support our Garrison Mill community, teachers and students.
Gratitude from our teachers
Claudia Will, one of the Early Intervention Program specialists at Garrison Mill, let us know how thankful she was for the support of the parent-led Garrison Mill Education Foundation. She benefited from REAP training, which she uses daily with Greyhound students.
Dear GME Foundation,
Thank you so much for investing in my professional development! I have been eager to attend REAP training, since I learned about it two years ago I am so excited for this learning experience and the impact it will have on our students.

When you donate to GMEF - during #GivingTuesday or throughout the year - you positivley impact the community where you live.
Thank you for considering the Garrison Mill Education Foundation.
